Mondays suck

This morning was one of those that I especially hate. Just before leaving, I kissed my sleeping almost 3-year-old goodbye. Somehow, that woke him up. So he wanted cuddles. I had to leave.
Tried passing him to Daddy, but he wanted me. :( Poor baby. So, my steps leaving the house are to the chorus of Mommy! Mommy! in an especially pitiful tone.
I know he will be okay. But I also think he will remember these separations and I wonder how that affects him. Well, to be accurate, I try NOT to wonder how that affects him.
It is mornings like this that make working outside the home seem unimportant. Yes, I get paid money that goes towards keeping our house together, but that child needs me more than a workplace does on mornings like this one.

Sun is shining
Weather is great (60 & 50) after weeks of under 30!
Sandals broken out for the first time of the year
Got a workout in today :)
Got a full night of sleep
Great evening last night at class and shopping
Kiddo in great mood
All in all, pretty awesome today! I am ignoring the fact that this weather will go back to the 30s soon (very soon) because it is too nice to be worried about that right now. Truthfully, my toes are balking at this cold air so they will be pleased to be back in socks soon!
